After being a skeptic on the Nintendo Wii due to the fact of it’s inferior graphics to market rivals – X-box 360 and PS3, I am now 100% converted.
My two favourite games of all time are both Nintendo Wii games.
First Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2009, which I wrote about in a previous post, and Mario Kart Wii.
The latter is my personal favourite, it offers simple game play and a huge selection of courses – but best of all it offers and online multiplayer option where you can play against family and friends.
In single player mode you have several options, but the most appealing is the Grand Prix. You begin with 4 Grand Prix to choose from, each with four courses. By finishing third or better in the first two Grand Prix you unlock another. The same apply’s to the second two Grand Prix.
Finally, if you again finish in the top three on the two unlocked Grand Prix you then open up the final two.
When every Grand Prix is unlocked you are left with a staggering 32 courses to play at your leisure.
In Multiplayer mode you can choose any particular courses rather than just one Grand Prix. Multiplayer also gives the option of BATTLE mode, where you fight each other in arenas. You begin with three balloons, every time you get hit you lose one and that is the point scoring system of the game.
This is by far the most enjoyable game I have ever played. Please excuse me while I go to have a game of it.
